Paul, Dom, Nico, Raph, Boris, Sach, Bruno, Pauline, Mouss et les autres…
My previous visits have all been marked by torrential rains. As I watch the Men and Women who make up the estate ploughing, cutting, carrying, burning, and helping each other without ever giving in, I am struck by the lightness emanating from their bodies, despite the evident hardship of the work. Paul is the one who best characterises this supposed paradox. His hands, rough, ennobled by the soil that he works on, form a sharp contrast with the gleam in his eye, particularly when he talks about his father, a riding instructor.
